FAQ

These 15 questions cover setup, language support, trial, pricing, and data safety.

What is Kora?

Kora is an AI-powered customer service agent that embeds into your website with a single line of code. It uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to answer customer questions based on your own uploaded documents — in Chinese (Traditional or Simplified) or English.

How does Kora learn about my business?

Upload your company documents — product details, FAQs, policies, price lists — to the Kora dashboard. We process everything into a vector knowledge base. When a customer asks a question, Kora retrieves the most relevant information and generates a natural, accurate answer.

What if my prices or policies change — how do I keep Kora up to date?

Upload the revised document (or paste the page URL) in the dashboard and it goes into a draft version of your knowledge base. You can ask the draft test questions first, and your live widget keeps answering from the old version until you publish. Nothing changes in front of customers until you say so.

Do I need a developer to install Kora?

No. Kora works with a single <script> tag. Most users install it in under 10 minutes. If you can edit a WordPress theme or paste code into a Shopify template, you can install Kora.

Is my data safe? Will you use it to train your AI?

Your uploaded data is isolated to your account. We do not use your data to train generic AI models. We do not share it with third parties. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

What languages does Kora support?

Chinese (Traditional and Simplified) and English. Kora detects the customer's language automatically from the first message and responds accordingly. Text chat only for now — voice is on our roadmap via Vios.

What happens if Kora doesn't know the answer?

Kora will say so honestly rather than guess, and share your contact details (email or phone) so the customer can follow up with your team directly. You set these in the assistant's settings.

How is Kora different from a regular chatbot?

Regular chatbots follow scripted decision trees — if a customer asks something outside the script, the bot breaks. Kora uses RAG + LLM to understand natural questions and answer from your actual documents, even questions you didn't anticipate.

What's included in the 14-day free trial?

Every plan comes with the same 14-day free trial, and it runs at the full limits of whichever plan you choose — pick Business and you get Business limits for those 14 days. See the pricing page for each plan's limits. A credit card is required to start, but you will not be charged until the trial ends — cancel anytime.

How does billing work?

Stripe handles all billing. Choose monthly or annual — annual is equivalent to two months free. You can also choose your billing currency: pay in USD or in HK$, whichever you select at checkout.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from your account dashboard. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. No cancellation fees.

What if I hit my conversation limit?

Kora keeps working — we never cut off your customers. You'll see an upgrade prompt in your dashboard, and we'll reach out if usage consistently exceeds your tier.

Does Kora work with WhatsApp?

Not yet — Kora is web-based today. WhatsApp Business integration is on our roadmap.

Can Kora handle voice calls?

Voice support is coming soon via our Vios integration. Customers will be able to speak to Kora, not just type.

Who makes Kora?

Kora is built by AR Phoenix Technology Limited, a Hong Kong-based software company. We also build CorporateHub (operations platform for SMEs) and Vios (voice AI). Our focus is practical AI for real businesses — not hype.
